First up a duo who after the success of their debut album “Recognise”, have experienced a rapid rise to the top of the D+B table. Inspired by their love of live music this year Fred V & Grafix have shown an undisputed display of their polished production skills and creative musical flare. They’re fresh off the back of their eclectic remix album “Unrecognisable” (excuse the pun) featuring artists from either end of the D+B spectrum from Emperor to Frederic Robinson, Chords to Etherwood.
Joining them will be “Universal Language” curator Metrik. As seen with his debut Hospital LP, Metrik brings a distinctly diverse set of sounds to the forefront. He’s had huge support for his summer smasher “Want My Love” from BBC Radio 1’s Friction, amongst many others and there’s no sign of him slowing down.
Taking you “Back to Basics” straight after his prestigious Radio 1 Essential Mix, S.P.Y is heading over to take you through the deeper and a darker side of D+B. After a busy year of globetrotting and playing back-to-back festivals last summer you don’t want to miss out on the chance to catch the man of the moment.
Last but by no terms least, making a quick return to our side of the globe after his trip for NYE will be longstanding Hospital CEO and pioneering D+B mastermind London Elektricity. Always staying true to his vinyl roots and with well over a decade of mixing mastery under his belt he’s sure to never miss a beat.
Hosting throughout the tour and keeping you going ‘til the very end will be this year’s D&B Arena “Best MC” award winner Dynamite MC.
In their own flawless fashion, the Hospital squad will guarantee a night of clubbing like no other full of Hospital classics from the sunshine liquid rollers to the darkened details of D+B.

Twisted Audio & New Grounds present LTJ Bukem (UK)Posted: Sunday, March 15th, 2015
Twisted Audio & New Grounds proudly present
LTJ Bukem (Goodlooking Records / UK)
A true innovator and icon of Drum & Bass and Jungle music, prepare yourself for an intimate night dedicated to the man himself.
Friday 20th of March at @ Brown Alley (585 Lonsdale st. Melbourne CBD)
Bukem’s first introduction to music, like so many others, was through piano lessons as a child. Unlike many however, the young pianist turned out to possess a natural talent and he quickly moved through the piano grades. Classical music represented the soundtrack to his home life. Both parents having a passion for Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky that rubbed off on their son. However it was when the family moved to Watford and Bukem changed music teachers that he developed his first true musical love. Thanks to a progressively minded teacher – Nigel Crouch – he was then introduced to the world of jazz fusion, a style which has informed his work ever since.
In 1990, LTJ Bukem got his first big break – at ‘Raindance’. Booked to play between 1 & 2 AM in front of 10,000 people, it was the first true test of this fledgling DJ’s skills. It may have taken all of his mates to push him onto the stage but it proved to be a set that he’ll never forget. From the first track he “ripped it up” and LTJ Bukem, the world class DJ was truly born.

Four albums, countless 12”s and over 15 years deep into his limit-pushing adventures, Gareth continues to surge at the very forefront of the sound he’d first experienced as young Londoner tuning in to Colin Dale’s eminent Abstract Dance Kiss FM sermons. Instant jungle entrenchment: he hurled himself into the fray. Vinyls, Reason, illegal raves… The boy – whose mum brought him up on a strict diet of ABBA and Queen – grabbed any angle and any opportunity to get involved.
From ringing up and booking Ed Rush for a party above a pub in Croydon off the back of mobile number on a test press … To scoring a job as in-house studio engineer at legendary rave distributors Alphamagic where he studied the dark art of dynamics at a masters level: Audio wouldn’t – and still won’t – settle for anything less than full immersion.
His own production stripes stretch back to just after the turn of the century when he found himself at the helm of Resonant Evil. Demonstrating their power with a debut on the genre-defining Renegade Hardware, over the course of two years they scorched the repertoires of Moving Shadow, G2 and Outbreak. As Resonant Evil’s brutal bulletins wound down, Audio was winding up. Carving his own path with his own rules, he was soon snapped up by early neuro pioneers Tech Freak Recordings who gave him the opportunity to stretch himself creatively and broadcast his first long playing message. Audio’s debut album ‘To The Edge Of Reason’ showed the world he could cater for experiences beyond the dancefloor yet convey the same attitude and defiant dynamic he’d become synonymous with as a DJ and on 12”s. It was so well received; within a year he was signed by Ed Rush and Optical and for five years became an intrinsic member of the Virus family.
Audio’s work on Virus is where he really developed momentum. Already an established headliner across Europe, his productions and reputation became a global phenomenon, leading to tours in every territory. This reputation was compounded by albums such as ‘Genesis Device’ and ‘Soul Magnet’ which spawned the mighty ‘Headroom’. One of the most influential and successful tracks of its time, it knocked chart-topping EDM star Avicii off the Beatport top spot, dominating the chart for a total of 13 weeks and setting the foundation for his final Virus album ‘Force Of Nature’. Released in October 2013, it threw the scene completely off-guard… No other producer has conjured two albums of such strong-armed quality within less than a year. Just as his debut album had pricked the ears of Virus, ‘Force Of Nature’ attracted Andy C’s Ram Records.
Kindred spirits, Audio and Ram Records are a natural fit: both D&B lifers, both as emphatic and enthusiastic about the scene as they were at inception, both dedicated to pushing drum & bass to its furthest limits creatively and sonically, Audio’s decorated career has leveled up once more. To Gareth, though, it’s business as usual; still immersed in production science (now using the unique Studio One set up) and still just as buzzed about slapping a dancefloor into submission with deadly double drops as he was when he kicked off, Audio’s unique punch is harder than it’s ever been.
Meet Oleg and Anton, the Russian/Ukrainian duo formerly known as Place 2B and Paimon, now more popularly known as Teddy Killerz. Skrillex himself was so impressed by the duo’s Make It Bun Dem Remix Contest entry that he not only proclaimed them honorary winners, but he also decided to sign them to his groundbreaking label, OWSLA. The label is famous for their intriguing and varied selection of artists, and they don’t take new artists lightly. Best known for their stellar dnb, dubstep, and breaks productions, the duo decided to switch things up for their first original release for OWLSA with the Toys Riot EP, a three-track collection of some very filthy trap music.
