Over the last year the duo known as Optiv & BTK have dominated the drum & bass scene with their unrelenting output of high quality, strictly for the dance floor releases and worldwide DJ sets. Both producers have had a long history of releases in the scene and between them have appeared on an impressive list of revered labels like Renegade Hardware, Subtitles Music, Virus, and many more.
Optiv from the UK and BTK from Brazil joined forces in their new home town of Bern in Switzerland a…
fter meeting up at various drum & bass events in the area. Once inside the studio, the collaborative vibe and rapid results made it clear that consequences would never be the same.
Since then the duo have had great success with tracks like Backlash and Kingpin on Virus Recordings, Inception and Over The Edge EP on Renegade Hardware, Let It Hit ‘Em and Zero Hour on Frequency Recordings and a host of other tunes.
Unsurprisingly, demand for their product skyrocketed to the extent that labels quickly came back looking for more than just a little taste, leading to their forthcoming debut album on Virus Recordings entitled ‘Dirty Tricks’.

In their own words

“It was important for us to keep the usual trademark Virus funk with an upbeat modern twist, predominantly aimed at smashing up the dance floor and bringing the full on party vibes that our tunes are recognised for”.
Thanks to the farmhouse fresh beats of Optiv & BTK, far more than just the hills are alive with the sound of (sick) music.

—”OF GOD”—

Melbourne based duo Of God (Chris Williams & Joshua Rice) have been on the scene since 2005. The last 7 years has seen these boys smashing the darker gigs, including Therapy Sessions both interstate and around the globe. Live, they are a tour de force dropping their own style of Industrial and Darkstep influenced Drum ‘n Bass.

Studio success has seen Of God release on such labels including their own Hell’s Bassment Records, Killing Sheep, Intransigent, Black Hoe Alimony, Assimilate and Pressure Chamber. They have had tracks remixed by Tech Itch and Forbidden Society and have smashed out a Filthcast for the mighty Barcode Recordings.

They are currently in the studio finishing new material so expect to hear some fresh tunes on the night!!

Hailing from Perth the epicenter of the Australasian drum and bass scene, Shockone aka Karl Thomas has proven he is one of the major talents in bass music today.

Following in the footsteps of his d’n’b counterparts Pendulum, ShockOne recently relocated to the UK for 3 months in the wake of a massive UK & European Tour as he warms international audiences up for his hugely anticipated & forthcoming debut album!

In 2011 alone he’s toured nationally with Karnivool, taken on mix duties for OneLove Recordings wildly popular “Dubstep Invasion” CD, hit the road in support of the ‘Dubstep Invasion’ compilation and released the critically acclaimed single ‘Crucify Me Parts I & II’ (which featured heavily on triple j rotation).

Best known for his original EP ‘The ShockOne EP’, (which featured the seminal ‘Polygon’, a track which received major air play world wide including triple j and with Radio 1′s Annie Mac penning it as ‘The biggest drum and bass tune out’) as well as remixes for The Aston Shuffle, The Stanton Warriors and his collaboration from 2009 with Phetsta ‘The Sun‘, his new single ‘Relapse ‘ featuring Sam Nafie on vocals, is out this October on Viper recordings.
