Drum & Bass club tours don’t come much bigger than this folks!! Touching down in Melbourne this Queens Birthday weekend we have a very special double-header featuring none other than the mighty Danny Bryd & Hamilton… Representing the two undisputed power-house labels of drum & bass – Hospital & RAM Records the return of these heavyweights is guaranteed to be one of the most memorable parties of the year!

Hosted by MC Skinni

-SIDE ROOM- (presented by Ruckus)

One of the very first artists to sign to the fledgling Hospital label way back at the turn of the millennium, Danny Byrd’s own inimitable take on soulful, vocal Drum + Bass has become a staple in the scene. His use of hip-hop, house and R&B influences has turned heads ever since his inception. The Bath based, brandy-drinking producer has been responsible from some massive rave anthems over the years, which has gained him Radio One success and international recognition.
Having signed to the label in the early noughties, Danny Byrd released a number of singles, such as “Do It Again” (2000), “Changes” (2001) and “Dog Hill” (2006), However, it was not until 2008 that Danny delivered his long awaited debut long player “Supersized”. Having spent years honing his craft, the album was an excellent display of his skills and featured massive anthems such as “Shock Out”, “From Bath With Love” and “Red Mist (feat I-Kay)”. The album gained support from Radio One heavy hitters such as Annie Mac and Zane Lowe, as well as the mighty Andy C. The VIP version of “Red Mist” catapulted its way onto the daytime Radio One playlist and received over six hours of Radio One play in 2009, all to itself!
Danny’s next major release was an update of liquid rave classic “Sweet Harmony” (feat. Liquid). The hit single reached number one in the UK dance singles chart and took Danny’s sound to a whole new audience. Championing a revival of classic dance music sounds along with his own unique and forward thinking production the second Danny Byrd studio album “Rave Digger” was unleashed October 2010. The lead single “Ill Behaviour feat I-Kay” smashed it’s way into the UK top 40, swiftly followed up by Radio One play listings for “We Can Have It All” and “Tonight (feat. Netsky)”.
Entering 2011, the “Rave Digger Special Edition” was released and later in the year, Danny launched his short-lived but impressive live show at Hospitality Brixton in September. Bursting back onto the scene in 2012 with the incendiary “Blaze The Fire (Rah!)”, Danny teamed up with the legendary General Levy for this smash hit single ahead of his third artist album which dropped in 2013.
His latest album, ‘Golden Ticket’ features a high calibre supporting cast of featured artists and a broad sound palette. It takes in the full spectrum of UK garage, house, hip-hop and has ensured his lasting status as a Drum and Bass icon.

Having conquered several dance music genres and worked as an international DJ for over a decade and a half, this talented and versatile producer turned his full focus to drum and bass in the latter half of the noughties culminating in signing an exclusive deal with Andy C’s Ram Records.
His tracks “Soundboy” and “Echoes” were considered to be some of the stand out tracks featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 5 compilation and since then Hamilton has released a number of singles including the massive “Brainstorm” and the sublime piece of dance floor driven liquid that is “Deep In My Heart”.
He’s also been busy on the remix front, crafting reworks for the likes of Blackout “L.O.V.E”, indie/dance hybrid Enter Shikari’s “Sssnakepit”, label mates Loadstar ‘s “Black & White” and most recently topping the drum & bass charts with his barnstorming VIP of TC’s rave anthem “Tap Ho”.
As a DJ he’s well renowned for his damaging three deck sets at events in the Uk and around the world. Having recently come back from a multi-date tour of Australia, Hamilton is back and ready to unleash a brand new batch of material for the summer and beyond. Watch this space!

Fred V & Grafix

Fledgling stars Fred Vahrman and Josh Jackson a.k.a Fred V & Grafix signed to Hospital at the end of 2011 and have been making waves ever since with regular appearances on BBC Radio 1Xtra and mini mixes on Annie Mac’s show. A pair of producers who have been working together for the past five years now and showing huge promise, the boys brought us an abundance of musical gems before they delivered their debut EP on Hospital in March 2013.

Initially into live music, the pair converted to D+B when they heard Pendulum’s controversial and genre-changing album “Hold Your Colour” and High Contrast’s sophomore “High Society”. Influenced by an eclectic range of sounds outside of D+B, from electro/French house, ambient and hip hop, Fred V & Grafix cite artists such as Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Dilla and Jimi Hendrix as key inspirations, alongside fellow Hospital artists High Contrast and Logistics.

Having already released music on Allsorts and Talkin Beatz, and received Radio One support from Zane Lowe and Annie Mac, Fred V & Grafix made their first appearance on Hospital as part of the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album with “Find My Way” and have continued to take the label by storm. As well as producers within their own right, Fred V & Grafix have also stunned us with their remixes of Emeli Sande – “Daddy”, Skepta – “Hold On”, Camo & Krooked – “All Fall Down” and not forgetting their amazing remix of Rudimental’s chart-topping No. 1 hit “Feel The Love”.

Since signing to Hospital, Fred V & Grafix impressed with their Sick Music 3 contribution “Major Happy” and the epic “Purple Gates” which appeared on Hospitality D&B 2013 before finally bringing us their debut solo release, the awe-inspiring “Goggles EP” which dropped in March 2013. Later this year we look forward to the release of the debut album ‘Recognise’ dropping on March 31st.

With the album, an American and New Zealand tour planned before the summer festival season, this is going to be an epic year for the duo.
